Summary: After the investigation of security chief Reynolds’s suspicious death, Nilken Rensus was released from prison and sentenced to community service. So what is he doing in the cryo bay?
“Are you sure you want to do this, Nilken?”
“I am. It’s for the best.”
“What’s for the best?”
“I’m putting Nilken here back into stasis.”
“The conviction was overturned, but everyone still treats me like a murderer. When Mariette heard the truth, she left me. I just want to go to sleep and wake up when things have blown over.”
“You mean if things blow over. If you go back into stasis, everyone may or may not forget that you attempted to murder your friend, Reynolds. Mariette definitely won’t. All she’ll she is a man who ran from the consequences of his actions. However, if you stay and participate in community service, you can learn from your mistake. So, you can be the coward that runs away from his problems or you can accept the consequences and learn to be a better man. The choice is yours.”
